    More than 200,000 patients used MYSPHERA during 2019

    In 2019, MYSPHERA established itself as a leading digital health company in Europe and a pioneer in the use of IoT (Internet of Things) technology for healthcare organizations worldwide, reaping the benefits of many years of work and effort in the sector.

    MYSPHERA technology has been proven to increase efficiency in hospitals through process improvement, task automation, and the measurement and analysis of data collected automatically. This goal is achieved thanks to a technological platform, developed entirely by its team of professionals, which uses sensors to obtain location information and offer a vision of the health process in real time, streamlining management through automatic task allocation. This system has been implemented in more than 40 hospitals worldwide.

    The operation of the system is very simple. Each patient, at the beginning of the health process, is assigned a bracelet-shaped device that will be worn until the end of their stay. The device is linked to a system that obtains real-time information on the location and condition of the patient in the different phases of the process. This information can be displayed on panels, reports, and other tools and applications, keeping healthcare professionals and family members of patients informed at all times, avoiding interruptions to the staff, and thus reducing the stress on all the agents involved in the process while speeding up management and decision-making.

    During 2019, MYSPHERA established itself as a leading company in the sector, increasing its presence in Spain and Europe thanks to the development of this process improvement system. Last year, more than 200,000 patients used this technology in more than 300 operating rooms, such as the Vall d’Hebron of Barcelona, La Fe de Valencia, or Saint Joseph de Paris.

    A large part of these 200,000 patients correspond to the new hospitals in which MYSPHERA has implemented its technology for the first time. Specifically, MYSPHERA implemented the technology at the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, the Complejo Hospitalario de Navarra, the UCSI block of Pere Virgili (belonging to Vall d’Hebrón Hospital), Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona, The Havana Hospital belonging to the Muprespa Fraternity in Madrid, and the Logroño Hospital.

    These numbers translate into benefits, such as the increase in interventions in the surgical block, significant increases in operating room performance (in cases such as the Vall d’Hebron Hospital, this amounts to more than 10%), a huge reduction in costs, and increased efficiency leading to a reduction in waiting lists.
